The Butler County Suicide Prevention Coalition

Learn the Warning Signs & Prevent Suicide Today!

What Does the Butler County Suicide Prevention Coalition Do?

The Coalition seeks to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide within our community. We engage the community in suicide prevention events and training, increasing the number of people in our county to recognize warning signs of a mental health crisis, and enabling them to respond. The Coalition aligns with the vision of Ohio’s suicide prevention plan to reduce the number of suicides every year until not one life is lost.

Inviting all Faith Leaders in the African-American Community

The Taskforce to Improve Mental Health in the African American Community presents the Greater Cincinnati Faith and Mental Health Collaborative. The opening event:

Restoring Connections is on April 21, 8 AM-2 PM at Miami University Voice of America Learning Center 7847 VOA Park Dr, West Chester Township, OH 45069.

This free event is offered to increase collaboration between mental health and faith leaders while providing education to faith leaders surrounding mental health. Faith leaders have been “front line heroes” during the pandemic and its aftermath. This ongoing Collaborative has been formed to increase mental health support specifically to faith leaders and begins with this event:  Restoring Connections. The program is offered at no cost to participants and includes breakfast and lunch.
