Listen. Talk. Save Lives.
Mission Statement: The Coalition seeks to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide within our community, by engaging the community in suicide prevention events and training, increasing the number of people in our county to recognize warning signs of a mental health crisis, and enabling them to respond. The Coalition aligns with the vision of Ohio’s suicide prevention plan to reduce the number of suicides every year until not one life is lost.
QPR Training
Just as CPR helps anyone save a life in a medical emergency, QPR is a simple educational program that teaches ordinary citizens how to recognize a mental health emergency and get a person at-risk the help they need.
In these trainings, certified QPR Gatekeeper Instructors teach the three steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide: Question, Persuade, and Refer. In just 90 minutes, you can learn to save a life. For upcoming QPR Gatekeeper Trainings click here.
