We specialize in providing behavioral health and prevention/early intervention programming for youth and adults
What the Position Involves:
- Working with children and teens in school and community center environments
- Providing prevention education and social-emotional support in the classroom and small group settings
- Coordinate various community-based activities (related to topics such as substance abuse prevention, conflict resolution, violence prevention, problem gaming/gambling prevention, and suicide prevention)
- Developing competency and expertise in the field of prevention to enhance the delivery of services
Who We Are Looking for to fill this Position:
- Significant experience and comfort level working with youth is required. Beneficial to have experience in small group/individual settings (facilitation) and larger classroom or related settings (training/education)
- Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with school administrators and staff
- Upbeat, energetic, positive candidates that are flexible and highly adaptable to the changing needs of youth and schools
- Excellent communicator (verbal & written) with strong facilitation skills
- Ability to multi-task, organized, and timely
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team of managers and staff
- Be open-minded and respect the diverse backgrounds, cultures, and needs of the clients
- Have a passion for service, improving our community, and care about making a positive impact on youth
- Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist is a plus (or will be expected to obtain once on staff)
- An Associate degree is a required; Bachelor's is preferred
- A bilingual English/Spanish speaker is beneficial
- Candidates with a background in education, communication, social work, behavioral health/health education, and similar disciplines are ideal but other degrees are also considered
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required
