Envision Groups

Envision Groups are led by a prevention professional to give students additional support to be successful in school and life. Often, having a caring adult and peer system that encourages healthy coping skills can be the difference a youth may need to succeed. Groups of 5-10 youth meet once a week in school to discuss a specific topic, share in a safe environment, and learn skills that are often paired with an activity.

Program Audience & Goals

The intended audience for this program are students who need additional support due to recent loss or disruption of home life, who are experiencing a drop in grades or other indicator of increased stress, or who are experiencing other social-emotional factors putting them at higher risk.

Students who participate in Envision Groups will build peer relationships and skills that will keep them on track for graduation and prepare for the next phase in school and life. Topics may include:

  • Self-esteem & confidence
  • Refusal skills
  • Effects of substance use on decision-making
  • Healthy coping skills
  • Effective communication
