Mediation is a nonjudgemental, confidential process that provides participants with the opportunity to address conflict and issues they are experiencing. The mediator is a neutral, third party that assists participants with improving communication, restoring relationships, finding solutions, and creating a written agreement.
Program Audience & Goals
Our family-based mediation is specifically geared towards youth charged with status offenses and misdemeanors in juvenile court. Our youth-focused problem-solving sessions are for any youth with school behavior or academic problems.
In mediation sessions, youth and families address issues related to the specific charge or problem. Through these offerings, we employ life skills and developmental assets to equip both youth and parents with the tools to address future concerns on their own, should they arise.
