Butler County Suicide Prevention Coalition

Welcome To The Butler County Suicide Prevention Coalition

The Butler County Suicide Prevention Coalition seeks to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and suicide within our community. Short term, we have set a goal to reduce Butler County suicides 10% by 2021. We would like to engage more of the community in suicide prevention and suicide-awareness events and trainings. We focus especially on providing QPR Gatekeeper (Question, Persuade, Refer) training, increasing the number of people in our county to recognize warning signs of a mental health crisis, and enabling them to respond. Long term, our coalition plans to align with the vision of the state's suicide prevention plan to reduce the number of suicides every year until not one life is lost.

For more information about suicide prevention, consider attending QPR Gatekeeper Training. QPR (or Question, Persuade, Refer) is an effective training that will prepare the participant to get someone in a mental health crisis to help. This training is intended for adults.
